Wow, a good night with a first for the site, two seconds and a third. The first was the spectacular Dark Crimson Underwing, the seconds were the very beautiful Cynaeda dentalis and the unspectacular Dotted Footman. In total there were 532 moths of 98 species, of which 27 were micros. The Diamond-backed Moth invasion has ceased, just five today. It was still warn with a bit of drizzle in the early part of the night. I found two Landmaid's amongst the Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwings, but as they get more numerous so it gets more time consuming to check everyone. Some are obviously not Langmaid's, the larger brighter ones, but some of those that are small and duller turn out to be Lesser Broad-bordered, so it does take a little time to be certain.
