Species List for 01/08/2026

 My Four traps, a 125W Robinson in the Back Garden, a 125W MV Robinson in the Pond Garden, a 15W Actinic in the Front Garden, and a 80W MV Skinner in the Greenhouse Garden, plus a portable Actinic trap  on loan from Sam Perfect. Much the same with one more Striped Hawk-moth and a Scarce Bordered Straw, a second early record this year, which I have a feeling will be a good year for them. There were 214 moths of 66 species with two NFY.

Another not very exciting catch. There were five Choreutis nemorana, Fig-leaf Skeletoniser,  presumably from the little Fig Tree that Pam planted. In total there were 261 moths of 70 species.

A rather disappointing catch considering the warm weather, light breeze and some super catches elsewhere. There were just 250 moths from 67 species and two NFY.  There was another Striped Hawk-moth which no longer seems to be a scarce migrant here.
