At The Hidden House, St Margaret's at Cliffe. I started mothing here in 2001, as even more of a novice then, than now. I caught a moth, which I correctly identified as a Flame Brocade, on Oct 12th 2001, and asked the then County Recorder how rare it was. As rare as Rocking Horse sh*t was the answer. Now 25 years on I have caught another one.
My Four traps, a 125W Robinson in the Back Garden, a 125W MV Robinson in the Pond Garden, a 15W Actinic in the Front Garden, and a 80W MV Skinner in the Greenhouse. The easterly breeze continued and the temperature dropped to around 9 deg C. There were 70 moths of 25 species and one NFY.
