Species List for 25/09/2026

 Four traps, a 125W Robinson in the Back Garden, a 125W MV Robinson in the Pond Garden, a 15W Actinic in the Front Garden, and a 80W MV Skinner in the Greenhouse Garden. A warmish ight, mintempmaround 16 deg C and a NW wing of 6-10 mph. I had got through three traps and was near then end of the 4th, the back garden Robinson, thinking that it was so poor that it might be time to reduce the number of traps when I spied a carpet on one of the last egg boxes. I knew I didn't recognise it and to a quick photo before potting it. A check with ObsID and UKmoths on line confirmed it was a Banded Pine Carpet. Checking Kent Moths Web site showed only six previous records on there. The species was first recorded in the UK in Sussex in 2014.
