Convolvulus Hawk-moth
Celypha sp.
Celypha sp
Nephopterix angustella
Only two traps again as heavy rain was forecast from 1am to dawn. It didn't happen, we just had a very light shower, Nevertheless with windy conditions numbers were down. just 280 moths of 22 species. N. angustella was new for the year, as was the star turn, a slightly worn, Convolvulus Hawk-moth. I'm unsure whether a Tortrix, that I've tentatively recorded as C. cespitana is this species or possibly C. rivulana, any thoughts welcome.

C. cespitana would be my vote Tony, is this one for gen. det. ?
ReplyDeleteYour probably right, but I'm afraid it now has its freedom. Cespitana was my thought as well, so I'm OK with that.
