Two pugs for ID/Confirmation 7/5/2011

1) Pug A, quite small, 19mm wing span, could this be Oak-tree? - confirmed Ben Sale


2) A bigger pug, about 26mm wing span, my first though is Mottled - Confirmed Ben Sale

Micro's for ID 7/5/2011

1) The first I really don't know, but is it Prays fraxinella. 8-9mm long.

2) I think micro B is a Pyralid, possibly Ephestia parasitella, I caught three in one "Black Light" trap. The length is about 10-11mm.

3) At last a Bird dropping moth to try out my new book! I think this is Epiblema Cyanosbatella.

Another interesting catch. A couple now confirmation (see above). Prays fraxinella, Epiblema cyanosbatella, Ephesttia parasitella, Meal Moth, Maiden's Blush, Common Carpet, Common Marbled Carpet, Setaceous Hebrew Carpet, Cabbage, White Point, Poplar Grey and Coronet all made there first appearances of the year.
