I managed to get the traps out, although bending down to set them up, is rather a struggle. It was very windy and hardly worth the effort, although there was some compensation it a Palpita vitrealis and an Oak Eggar, both new for the year.

I didn't run the traps overnight. Partly because of the weather, but also because I was incapacitated, having tripped in the garden and landed on a short post and cracking a rib. There was a Humming-bird Hawk-moth nectaring in the garden, as well as one at St Margaret's Farm, Napchester.

A few more moths this morning, including my first two Evergestis Limbata of the year. Since it first appeared here in 2003 (first for the UK was 1993), I've caught 18 of this beautiful pyralid. I think it must now breed in the area as Nigel Jarman, down the road at Kingsdown catches a lot more there.
