A couple from Clitheroe

My son, Pete, sent these two pictures of moths found at the window in Clitheroe, Lancs.

I think that this is a Pale Brindled Beauty, confirmation please. Well, I got this wrong! It is another Mottled Umber.

I thought that this Mottled Umber was a stunning image.

Since the last report I have run the traps a few times, with very little to report. We were away in Lancashire for the half-term week and the weather has been poor. The last two nights I've run two traps and caught absolutely nothing. I know that some good moths are being caught. but not here! The list of the small amount caught since Oct 16th is below:

Caught last night. As Ben says, it is a Chestnut, also confirmed by Greg Bond.
