Species List for 03/07/2018

325 moths of 72 species  was a reducion in numbers from previous nights but there were five NFY and one NFS (New for Site), The new moth was a White-mantled Wainscot, which was completely unexpected.  UKmoths descibes it as "A rare and local species, occurring only in a relatively small number of reedbeds in coastal Suffolk, though previously it also occurred in East Sussex." My guess is that the one I caught was a migrant, rather than there being a previously unknown colony in Kent.
