Geometer for Identification

Not sure what species this geometer is. A bit larger than a Peacock, with feathered antennae. It refused to completely open its wings.

A sugestion of  identification of this moth, supplied by tony of VC40 is Barred Umber. A second suggestion from Richard Lewington is Little Thorn. Although at first I was happy that Barred Umber was correct in fact Little Thorn is a better match and it accounts for why the wings were held half open. It is a new moth for the Garden and Me.
