Species List for 2/7/2012

The first Sharp-angled Peacock of the year. Sometimes difficult to tell from Peacock, this is a well marked moth, and with the help of Conifer Moths of the British Isles by J. Clifton & J. Wheeler this pair should hold fewer problems in the future.

Sharp-angled Peacock, viewed from underneath, shows the prominence of the sub-terminal band from below.

 In all 64 moths of 21 species plus an, as yet, unidentified Cnephasia species.
