Species "List" for 24/2/2012

After several blank tries I finally started my 2012 list. Despite the fact that I do quite well during the summer this garden is never very productive at the beginning and end of the seasons.

Code Taxon Vernacular Individuals
1926 Phigalia pilosaria Pale Brindled Beauty 2

Pale Brindled Beauty

Pale Brindled Beauty
I won't be putting up pictures of every moth, but I thought the first two of the year were worth a show. It's a pity they are not a more photogenic species.

  1. Hi Tony
Well done on the Bribdled White-spot tick :) a moth I don't see unless i travel to acres and acres of mature woodland. My secret you ask, hmmm well I think it's because I am very lucky with my surrounding habitat, 10 acres of set-aside farmland, two nearby lakes and a moat and an adjacent medium-storey woodland that is 40 acres. You will pick up soon buddy, keep me posted.
