Species List for 27/9/2011

Two new moths for the year, both were Sallows and both welcome back after long absences.

Orange Sallow (Xanthia citrago)
Only the second Orange Sallow I've caught, not in the freshest condition, but still distinct, exactly eight years to the day since the last one.

Dusky-lemon Sallow (Xanthia gilvago)
The Dusky-lemon Sallow since 2006. The average date for the six I've caught here is Sept 28th, so this one was almost on time.
