Although there are still very few moths venturing out in the cold air stream there was another species on the earliest date caught here, this time the very common Heart and Dart. The previous earliest date was 26th April 2011, although in total there are very few April records, and then only irregularly until June.

Three new species for the year. Although Eudonia angustea can be a year round species this is the earliest I've seen one here. The Least Black Arches is also the earliest I've caught one, this time by 11 days. The Streamer is the forth earliest I've caught, just three days later than the earliest date.
