Pug and Noctuid

Two moths that I need some help with

This noctuid has a shiney appearance and is a little like a small Rustic Shoulder-knot but I can't work it out.

A pug, much the same size as a common pug, but I don't normally see Common Pugs with prominent centre spots, is it just a common?
