Species List for 10/9/12

 Convolvulus Hawk-moth

 Celypha sp.

  Celypha sp

 Nephopterix angustella

Only two traps again as heavy rain was forecast from 1am to dawn. It didn't happen, we just had a very light shower, Nevertheless with windy conditions numbers were down. just 280 moths of 22 species. N. angustella was new for the year, as was the star turn, a slightly worn, Convolvulus Hawk-moth. I'm unsure whether a Tortrix, that I've tentatively recorded as C. cespitana is this species or possibly C. rivulana, any thoughts welcome.

    1. Your probably right, but I'm afraid it now has its freedom. Cespitana was my thought as well, so I'm OK with that.
