Two from last night

Two moths that had me scratching my head this morning. I think I've solved the first, a Clouded-bordered Brindle (confirmed), but the identification of the second still eludes me. It is the size of a Nutmeg (fw about 16mm). I think I've struggled with Large Nutmeg before, thanks Matt for putting me straight.

    I'd agree with CbB for no 1. My suggestion for No. 2 is possibly a Nutmeg.

      Fairly certain it's not a Nutmeg, it's missing the "W" on the outer cross line and the curve on the leading edge isn't something I've seen on a Nutmeg. I do like the Large Nutmeg suggestion though, several pictures on the WEB show this curve.

    Noctuid 2 looks like a Large Nutmeg to me Tony. I'm catching a few at the moment.
